Last night Catfin and I've been to the Koop concert.
It's being held in Western Market at Sheung Wan,
what a wonderful venue for live Jazz!

The voice of Hilde Louise Asbjørnsen was really touching.
What surprise me most was
the Xylophone and the Vibraphone performance by Mattias!

椎名林檎個人活動再開始！
第一單曲「カリソメ乙女（DEATH JAZZ ver.）」，
檎名林檎 X SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS，
但竟然不是以CD形式發售！
而是以網上限額購買下載的方法才可得到，
身處香港的我就無法購入．．．．．．
幸好在youtube有這個version的精彩performance可以欣賞！
喜愛big band jazz的你必會尖叫！
除了喧嘩上等外，東京事変 Just Can't Help It 的 concert DVD 中，
還有以下歌曲的演繹非常令我難忘，
分別是broadway式音樂Dynamite ，
及日劇《大奧～華之亂》theme song 修羅場。
Besides KanKaJouTou, the performance of Broadway-style Dynamite and Shyuraba (which is one of the Buddhism's hell)
今次Dynamite 的編曲是我所聽過的版本中最broadway的，
尤其是intro，以及更值得一提的outro，
都令此版本成為我最喜愛的今次Dynamite 。
This time the arrangement of Dynamite is the most Broadway one, especially the intro, and especially especially the outro. It's no doubt my favourite version of Dynamite.
而修羅場一早己成為了我的ipod播放次數最高的第一位。
原本MV中的「血」的感覺，
今次成為了red blood cell，滲滿了整個舞台！
除了音樂之外，修羅場視覺上的震撼亦令人非常難忘！
Shyuraba is already my most-played-ipod song for few months. The blood feeling from the MV was converted into red blood cell spilled out all over the stage! The visual impact of this song is awesome. 
近年令我陷入瘋狂狀態的樂隊，
就只有椎名林檎為首的 東京事変 。
陷入瘋狂狀態 是指每一隻無論是single或是album，
甚至連MV集及concert live DVD都會不會放過的狀態。
最近推出的 Just Can't Help It 的concert live DVD 中，
都不有少驚人之演繹，而其中一首最令人為之震驚的，
是以下的 喧嘩上等
演歌 + Jazz + heavy metal的組合，
居然可以配合得天衣無縫!!!!
The only band that can drive me crazy these years is Tokyo Jihen (ie. Tokyo Incidents) leaded by Shiina Ringo. I bought all their single, album, MV DVD and concert live DVD. Inside their recent live DVD Just Can't Help It, their are quite a lot surprising performance. One of them is the follow one, KanKaJouTou (superior fight), combining traditional japanese song with Jazz and Heavy metal, and is surprisingly good!!
自從2004起，
每年我都會到場欣賞wild day out grand show，
因為除了我十分喜歡的音樂人，如范曉萱、恭碩良等，
還會有很多的surprise，如上年的soda green。
Since 2004, I go to the Wild Day Out grand show every year. Because there are always my favourite musicians like Mavis Fan, Jun Kung, and also some surprise like Soda Green last year.
剛剛在這個星期一及星期二，
我與Dan用了一日半的時間，
去完成了今年在 wild day out grand show 中，
在 stage 上 big LED screen 的 五個 logo animation。
比起上年我製作的，
今年我所製作的三款animation都是完全不同style的呢!!
100% different!!!
In this Monday and Tuesday, Dan and I just finsihed 5 logo animations, which will be shown on the big LED screen on the Wild Day Out grand show. Those 3 that I did this year are totally different from what I did last year. 100% different!!
今次的創作，可說是毫無concept可言。
是純 visual design 上的創作，而visual design 一向都是我的弱項，
所以今次可說是向死亡挑戰呢!!
When I was creating this time, actually there isn't any so-called concept at all. This is just a pure visual deisgn work, which is my weakness!!! So dare I am...
我坐在我的意識的河流旁邊，從自己的意識中尋找靈感，
過程其實與上次我替Funk Jazz dancer 輝仔
所製作的dance opening十分相似。

先訂下簡單的主題，就像今次的Bling、Dot柄及黯邪photo-realistic，
然後等一會，很神奇地，
那些visual就會突然之間在我眼前「叮」一聲的出現!!
I was just like sitting beside my river of subconcious, and searching for some muse from it. Indeed it's very similar to what happened when I was making the dance opening for Funk Jazz dancer Fai Jai. (the skull head from mo-c.com) First having some simple theme, like this time they are Bling, Dot Pattern and dark photo-realistic. And then wait for a while, and suddenly, those visuals will come into my mind automatically!!

繼明和電機的demonstration之後，
星期六到了同樣位於中環的frnige club欣賞live jazz。
雖然聽了很多的 jazz 及 nu-jazz CD，
但真真正正現場感受live jazz 還是第一次!!!!
After the night of Maywa Denki, on Saturday night I went to the Fringe Club, which is also located in Central, to enjoy a live jazz session. Although I've listened to quite a few jazz and "nu-jazz" albums, this is my first time to really sit in a lounge and having a live jazz band in front of me!
當晚最令我興奮的，就是可以近距離欣賞double bass 的演奏!!
在沒有 frets 的絃線上疾走彈奏，
加上 double bass 的圓潤低音，
以及那在 jazz 中決定性的bass rhythm，
一切一切都有著令我尖叫的衝動!!
實不相瞞，我是一個bass-maniac!!
What I love most in the show was to really look at the double bass performance RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! Playing without frets on the bass neck, the really good quality bass sound, together with the determining bass rhythm in Jazz, all just drive me crazy!!!
Yes, I'm a Bass-maniac!!!

都有四、五年了吧？
買過 knock man，想過但最後沒有買過魚骨電話繩，
陷入明和電機狂熱的時候，我「還是」一個大學生呢。
事隔多年，明和電機居然親臨香港，
攪展覽之餘，還舉行了「演唱會」！
看之前，大家的expectation都是觀摩一下那些無鬼聊design，
至於音樂，理所當然的只是配角，
「這些所謂樂器所奏出的音樂，都是很實驗性的吧！」
這就是大家心目中的pre-set。
大錯特錯！
所有人都大錯特錯！
被稱為「製品demostration」的conert，
「第三代社長」土佐信道的表演是超乎想像以外的充滿娛樂性！
而那些「樂器」或「發明」或「製品」確確實實是200%的無鬼聊！
「音樂」的表演居然能牽起所有觀眾的情緒！
100v的電流(this is very dangerous)果然不簡單....！
據說他們下年還會再來港演出！
錯失今次機會的人，下年萬勿錯過！
